About
A beginner's guide to bitcoin history for people who know nothing about it yet. The manga scenes move as you scroll, and six chapters follow a story of more than 30 years.
From the 1983 dream of digital cash to the nine-page paper, the first block, the two pizzas, the Mt. Gox collapse, the fall of FTX, ETFs and $100,000, and Japan's 2026 law change. The last chapter shows how to spot scams.
Your guides are Bits, a coin, and Mike, a calico cat. Real people are drawn as silhouettes, and they only say words they really said. "Real artifact" cards show original texts, like Satoshi's emails, with a Japanese translation and a link to the source.
Each chapter has a hands-on demo and a quiz: a tamper challenge, a double-spend copy test, a pizza price calculator, a choice just before Mt. Gox fell, a time machine, and a spot-the-scam game.
For readers who want more, there is a people guide (35 people), an open source guide (23 entries), a glossary and a guide to learning resources like books, videos and podcasts. The manga is in Japanese, and there is an English edition too (Bitcoin History for Beginners).
